Ultrasound is a common imaging modality for the diagnosis and follow-up of carotid diseases. The indications and uses for carotid ultrasound in the surgical setting will be discussed. CT angiogram as an alternate imaging modality will also be discussed . A n overview of carotid interventions, including carotid endarterectomy and stenting will also be presented.
